MoF Season 4 Assistant Application

Matter of Fat is looking for one more podcast assistant to support season 4’s success! We (Cat + Saraya) love this project and want to grow with the help of… well you! MoF has two assistants continuing on from last season and we’re now looking for a third assistant to join our team for season 4 (2021). We’re interested in working with people passionate about fat liberation who can dedicate 4-10 hours a week from (ideally) late February to December 2021.

This assistant’s primary task would be episode transcription. It’s important for our podcast to be as accessible as possible so we’re working to transcribe all new eps and also working through our backlog of previous episodes. We have a transcription process developed by current assistant Lindsay and a transcription tool (Descript) but simply need more time dedicated to this component of Matter of Fat. Transcription would be 80-90% of this role. We have virtual monthly MoF team meetings (usually the 1st Thursday of the month) and check-ins and there may be additional opportunities to take part in some other aspects of the pod.

In exchange for your amazing skills and abilities, we want to compensate you as much as possible with insight into the podcast production process, opportunity to serve the fat community and engage with fat liberation, the inside scoop on MoF moves, and a small stipend of at least $200 upon completion of the season. MoF is a small, local and powerful project primarily funded out of pocket by Cat + Saraya.
